Faced with the prospect of its just released Radeon RX 5600 XT being a worse value proposition than NVIDIA’s RTX 2060, AMD rolled out a BIOS update for the GPU to increase performance. NVIDIA recently lowered the price of the RTX 2060 to $299 which while about $20 more expensive than the 5600 XT had a performance advantage that more than made up for the increased cost. AMD’s BIOS update resulted in double digit performance gains to match or exceed that of the RTX 2060.
