This is actually what I am studying today, so I&#8217;m quite happy to see that R analytics are going to be a part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cloudera.com\/hadoop\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cloudera Hadoop distribution<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While R can currently be used in Hadoop via the streaming interface, by running as simple mappers or reducers, taking full advantage of Hadoop&#8217;s scalability and massive parallelism takes some more work. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.revolutionanalytics.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Revolution Analytic&#8217;s<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/RevolutionAnalytics\/RHadoop\/wiki\" target=\"_blank\">RevoConnectR collection of packages<\/a> makes it a lot easier for the R programmer to leverage the advantages of Hadoop.<\/p>\n<p>Just how easy is something I am currently exploring!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ReadWriteWeb reports that Cloudera and Revolution Analytics are partnering to support R on Hadoop.
